Medical Care in Rwanda

You will have trouble accessing both specialised and basic medical care in Rwanda. If you require a doctor’s consultation or hospital services, use the King Faisal Hospital. Whilst this is a private service, medical care is still limited. An alternative option is the American Mission Hospital in Kibagora but you should be aware that more serious health problems will require evacuation to a country with a better sanitary system.

Make sure that you bring essential and prescribed medications with you, as Rwanda is poorly supplied with few pharmacies.
