Serbia Travel Vaccines and Advice

While traveling to Serbia, please keep in mind some routine vaccines such as Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, etc.

If you are unsure as to where you should bring your family for the next big vacation, set your sights on the Republic of Serbia. This destination has an incredibly rich cultural heritage by being the home to the Valley of Kings and majestic medieval monasteries. Take time to visit an array of small towns with Byzantine and Orthodox buildings such as monasteries and the ancient churches of the 17th century. Have a day of respite by bathing in one of the Roman spas, or take a ramble in nature full of wildlife and beautiful plant species. For further glimpses of wildlife lovers, make sure to take a trip to Djerdap National Park.

Medical Care in Serbia

Although medical personnel have been well trained in Serbia, problems lie in the equipment and medical facilities, limiting the health system. If you seek routine care whilst staying in Serbia, use the Bel Medic General Hospital in Belgrade. Whilst you can find military hospitals in Kosovo, these tend to deal with very urgent cases. In rural areas, you will find it particularly difficult to access adequate medical care.

Pharmacies are open 24/7 in Belgrade and provide basic supplies and all kind of drugs if you need to buy medicine during your stay.

Public emergency assistance in Serbia can be summoned by calling 194.
