You will be exposed to many health problems in Somalia, including diarrhea, measles, malnutrition, malaria and respiratory diseases. In the capital Mogadishu, you can find several hospitals capable of caring for patients.
Furthermore, it is very difficult to find drugs in pharmacies as they are generally poorly stocked. Consequently, it is important to keep a first aid kit close by.
In order to reach hospitals, you must travel by private vehicle as there is no emergency ambulance service. Serious health problems can require medical evacuation.
