If you plan to vacation in Saint Martin, you have no reason to worry about the health of you or your family. Before leaving ensure to update your vaccinations. Public and private hospitals provide medical care of a high quality. You will be able to find two health establishments: one is located in Saint Martin and the other in Sint Maarten.

You should also travel with a medical kit including essentials such as antibiotics, antihistamines, disinfectants, antiseptics, compresses and bandages.

For emergency assistance, dial 112. However, medical emergencies require evacuation by plane.

Do I Need a Visa to Visit Saint Martin?

Prior to travel, make sure you check with your transportation company about any passport requirements. This is important as in some cases their regulations on passport validity may be more strict than those of the destination country.

If staying under 90 days, then only a passport is required to enter Saint Martin. The passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond the date of departure.

There’s a departure tax that needs to be paid if leaving from the Princess Juliana International Airport in Sint Maarten. This fee is not required if leaving from the L’Espérance Airport.
