Public health institutions in Iraq suffer from lack of drugs, poor quality of care, and problems in power and water supply. Reassuringly, private institutions make up for these shortcomings, although you should be warned that these do not offer emergency rooms. The drug supply in Iraq is insufficient, and the available medicines are unreliable. Visitors should endeavour to buy medicines from Al-Shaiklee pharmacy or Hunnudi pharmacy whenever possible.

Do I Need a Visa to Visit Iraq?
Prior to travel, make sure you check with your transportation company about any passport requirements. This is important as in some cases their regulations on passport validity may be more strict than those of the destination country.
Both, a visa and a passport are required to enter Iraq. Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the date of departure.
