Because there are no airport facilities on the island, medical repatriation is not always possible. It is important to purchase medical insurance which covers medical evacuation. You will be able to access a small pharmacy on the island, but it is advised to travel with a well-supplied emergency medical kit due to the isolated nature of Pitcairn.
