Medical Care in Spain

Public hospitals in Spain have good facilities and are growing and improving. Although patients have vouched for the quality of care, the speed of medical services is questionable. The wait time is long, especially for specialist doctors.

Finding drugs over the counter in Spain is easy. Prescription drugs are rigorously regulated. Also, pharmacists are highly qualified. Visitors from the United States are advised to bring their own drugs, as it is often difficult to access American drugs in Spain. If you’re bringing your drugs, it is wise to bring your prescription with you.

If you require ambulance services, call 112.
